Anathema now on display at the Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda as part of ‘Dysphoric Euphoria’

An unintentional spread of white paint graces the folds of these threadbare joggers. Tasty.
A raw hand carries out the process of tearing sections of itself apart in order to understand how it functions. A laborious task. An ouroboros task. It would be regretful to overlook the evidence of play that it has exposed itself to overtime.
Although it is equally probable to suggest this process being carried out is deconstructive in nature.
A sterile environment of vermillion and ultramarine white stages the scene for a fragmented figure.Which appears to be in the process of soft construction. Putting its parts in the correct place to complete itself.Clicking and creaking noises fill the space as piece after piece embraces one another.

So when you pop into the gallery take a pic what you liked, hated, questioned and we can have a social media crit of some kind. Much more interesting imo
If any of you haven’t picked up the @businessposthq today, my work is incorrectly titled in there with some chit chat thrown in. To be honest not thrilled that the only coverage of the arts in public print media is handled with quick snappy questions, most of which isn’t about the work.
I spent the best part of a year putting this show together and would love to know what everyone thinks of this body of work.
Many thanks to everyone who attended the opening of ‘A Fly’s Perspective of Loss’ @sofinearteditions yesterday. It’s now open until the 10th of May so please do go and have a look.

16 new paintings and 9 creative texts, ready for ‘A Fly’s Perspective of Loss’ @sofinearteditions next month. Will be sending out invites next week so let me know if you want one in advance. The show will be opening on the 12th of April (Saturday), so hoping you’ll be able to come along 😊
For the first time in all my years painting, I’ve managed to have everything ready to go, weeks in advance of opening. Nothing wet and nothing rushed, I think that’s what they call maturing?
Very excited to announce my next solo exhibition, ‘A Fly’s Perspective of Loss’ @sofinearteditions in April. I’m really looking forward to exhibiting in this gorgeous space in Dublin once again. I Will be posting more about it in the run up to the opening. Get in touch to be added to invite list 🪰
