All planes are at least a little bit bi-plane.

Popular scientist Desmond Morris has died at a great age (old enough to have a father die of WWI injuries). Among other accomplishments, he designed Oxford United's logo and had one of his books referenced in an Italian Eurovision entry ('la scimmia nuda' = the naked ape).

All things being equal that would be great, but it's such a male-privileged POV to not realise that entirely secluded/not overlooked/invisible to passers-by is not necessarily what women want in a place to walk.
There's a park near here that's got a lot of wild features, which is great. A man I know was talking about it, & enthusing about how it could be made to feel even wilder. He proposed landworks to hide the nearby road, houses & paths 'so it feels fully secluded & you could be in the wilderness'...
I'll gather all these in later and submit them to my funders as feedback. Thanks.
Maybe we should break into smaller groups and talk amongst ourselves for 5 minutes? I've left some post-it notes in the middle of each table so you can jot down keywords.
Quick, bluesky - do I feel well enough to go to a meeting this evening? It's in 15 minutes so please submit your answers timeously so that we can move towards a workable consensus.
Does he still like the wee sofa?
VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?
ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]
Obviously her comedic shows were great, but her serious TV drama, That Day We Sang, was her triumph IMO.
I also fondly remember a documentary she did about body image/media weight judgement.
And a conversation I was lucky enough to have with her about 20 years ago.
She wrote many wonderful things but the one that made me laugh most was a throwaway mention of a side character called Willy Eckerslike.
I still miss Victoria Wood. Ten years gone!
Small delicate white flowers against a guddle of green foliage. Red dead-nettle visible behind.
White forget-me-nots. #wildflowerhour
I am 22 years younger and I think the last time my thigh muscles could do that, Rhodesia was a thing.
Bryan Cranston is 70 & in the first episode of the Malcolm in the Middle reboot, there's a bit where he drops to his knees from standing, then rises from his knees *to* standing, in one motion & without using his arms. Forget the Olympics: I've never been so impressed by anyone's physical prowess.
The documentary on iPlayer, My Garden Of A Thousand Bees, is gorgeous and important.
I liked it too. Was there a bit where, for reasons I forget, he had to give a fake name over the phone having just woken up, and panic-recited 'Morphy Richards' off the teasmade by his bed?
Aha!
Sounds good. What's a fox run?
That looks really cool. I like the bronzed crumpled look. Has your new gaff got a good sized garden?
Omg this is perfect.
Photo of very cool urban garden in central London in which herbs are growing profusely in two skips.
Wonder how my spouse would feel about me getting a skip to use as a plantpot.
UP ON THE ROOF Artist Pamela Reed is also known as Brooklyn Farm Girl. She describes herself as a food blogger, recipe maker, urban gardener and cat mother of five. In 2005, she and husband Matthew moved to the capital from art school in Pittsburgh. Every summer, they missed the Pennsylvania gardens in which they had been brought up, and with no soil and no backyard, they weren't daunted - they just set up a few containers six storeys up on their roof and got gardening. They started small, but now it's a mini farm. Broccoli and cauliflower...
My library book (My Tiny Home Farm by Francine Raymond) seems to think NYC is the capital of the US.
A plant pot in the form of a guinea pig, with cress growing out of the top.
Very me.
Someone on Reddit just described the old lady who swallowed a fly (etc) as 'the original throat GOAT'.
A screenshot of an Instagram post by Annie Jones, AKA Plain Jane Superbrain in Neighbours. She's holding the (yes, I'm going to use the overused word) iconic portrait of Mrs Mangle and underneath has put "Hello Neighbours fans. Just a heads up to let you know this iconic painting of Mrs Mangle will be up for auction in the next couple of weeks" the screenshot cuts off the next bit, but she says the proceeds will be going to a charity close to her heart.
If I know anyone on here who is secretly really rich, please buy this and invite me to come and have a look.
Forget me nots with small blue flowers.
A magenta flower of a red campion about yellow dandelions
Delicate pink cuckooflower hiding in the undergrowth
Alkanet flowers - small and deep blue.
Wildflowers in my garden today. Love your weeds.
Now please imagine that same level of proactive efficiency but it's when I'm trying to get the council to fund my disabled son's transition from school to adult services.
