Helicobacter pylori induces the production of interleukin-37 to promote broad immunosuppression and enhance colonization Helicobacter pylori infects approximately half of the world’s population, resulting in lifelong gastric infections. To promote lifelong colonization, H. pylori modulates host immunity via unknown m...

New Study: Helicobacter pylori induces epithelial interleukin-37 to suppress and evade host immunity and enhance bacterial colonisation and pathogenesis.

Love this article Jenny! Would be amazing to understand how much diet can influence distal SCFA concentrations and benefits beyond the gut particularly in protection against UTI or even how specific urinary targeting SCFA-containing therapeutics could have clinical benefits

Really happy to see this work out!

Super fun project with a great team. For me the highlight was that we finally were able to show the O-linked glycosylation systems of H. pylori/C. jejuni are general glycosylation systems which target non-flagellin proteins (suggest >10 years ago by click chem).
