Three panel comic. Panel 1: at a house party, a guy is standing next to his buddy, a human-size horseshoe crab. Theyâre both holding red solo cups. The guy is looking to the other side of the room and excitedly says to the crab, âhey, thereâs another horseshoe crab here!â The crab replies, âugh.â Panel 2: the guy says, âwhatâs wrong?â The crab says, âheâs one of those guys who flaunts it too much.â Panel 3: we see the other horseshoe crab in question, engaged in conversation with a group of smiling people standing around him. This second horseshoe crab is wearing a cap with a horseshoe on it, and a novelty t-shirt that reads: I SURVIVED 5 MASS EXTINCTIONS. IS IT FRIDAY YET?

Two Comedians (1966) was Hopper's final canvas. It shows Hopper and his wife, Jo, on stage taking a bow.
After decades spent spotlighting American life, he ends by stepping into the scene to say a quiet goodbye to the world he painted.

MO Wayne Thiebaud was the G.O.A.T. at capturing the essence of delicious food products. His pies, cakes, ice creams, etc. are luscious and tempting: I can almost smell them! Best of all, zero calories. Thiebaud was a Californian, through and through, and his paintings capture the light and zeitgeist of 20th century living on the West Coast. Considered a Pop artist, Thiebaudâs subject matter is straightforward â like Warholâs soup cans â but his handling of paint is not the usual Pop Art visual. Thiebaud used thickly applied paint to create painterly versions of delectable meringue pies in âCut Meringuesâ. He used color â not quite black and not quite white â to create shadows and dimension and repetition to forge a geometric pattern that looks as good as it undoubtedly tastes. So maybe Thiebaudâs message to us is that when life gives you lemons, whip up some lemon meringue pies!
