Rosy won!! So thoroughly deserved! What a fantastic, dedicated volunteer you are - especially for our Junior members, many of whom you have seen grow over the years. You're a shining ✨️.

It's #NationalVolunteersWeek, and here's a pic of some of our brilliant club volunteers. Rosie, front and centre, is shortlisted for a Merton Volunteer of the Year award! We'll find out if she wins on 5th June. We think she is hugely deserving - having dedicated 7+ years to The Squad's members πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

We made cheese-cake using leftover Easter chocolate! We went to the supermarket and picked some unwanted chocolate eggs, and came back to Squad to make our delicious dessert. We enjoyed combining the ingredients to make something new, as well as budgeting for the things we needed. It was great fun.

Today, our trustee team met up to discuss strategy and the next 12 months of brilliant activities, fundraising, and marcomms. Thanks to the lovely Polka Theatre in Wimbledon for hosting.

This week, we used found and recycled media to create collages and mood boards to express ourselves, and talk about the things we love and believe in. We shared our creations with each other 😁

This week at Squad, we used arts and crafts to create some Mother's Day gifts. It was great to get creative and say thank you to our brilliant mums. We worked in groups and helped each other out. We're really happy with the results!

Tonight we had loads of fun going to the supermarket to buy ingredients to make mocktails - then back to Squad to create 4 different tasty drinks (enough to go around our big group, of course!). Independence-driven fun with our friends 🧑

Morning folks :) We love how simple Bluesky makes it to verify your handle here, so we are now @TheSquad.org.uk. Much less of a mouthful & fewer characters to type too. Now no excuse to include us in your follow or name checking posts ;)

Volunteer | Get Involved | The Squad

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. They help to run our clubs & support our members.

Volunteering at The Squad is not only fun but also rewarding. Live in / near Wimbledon? If you can spare only a few evenings a month, we’d love to hear from you.

We smashed our fundraising in the Thames Bridge Trek! We hugely appreciate everyone that took part, donated, and supports The Squad.

Hello Bluesky! We are loving our new permanent home in the Merton Art Space (MAS) in Wimbledon Library. The MAS team could not have been more welcoming, and the new space offers members and volunteers loads more opportunities!
