This city is terrible for stray and lost dogs, and yet people still let their dogs off leash... I can't understand people that put their dogs at risk like that. You never know when something bad is going to happen, and your dog doesn't even have a tag? A collar?

And then this morning, its 20 degrees here, a few inches of snow on the ground, and I see a gorgeous hound trotting across the complex, but despite getting out in the snow, I couldn't track him... Basically could only track him backwards, but couldn't find where he went.

His emergency contact picked them up the same day but she was trying to get us to take them... they were a pair of boys, a terrier mix and a recovering, very emaciated pit bull, they were both extremely sweet... If we didn't already have a dog with a condition...

I will never understand people that have their dogs off leash, especially in this cold weather. We had an emergency happen the other day where an older man collapsed down the stairs while taking his dogs out and because they were off leash they just ran... my family found them and took them in.
