Financial barriers can prevent emerging professionals from benefitting from the opportunities provided by a conference. The ACA invites our members to help support emerging professionals. By donating to the ACA Foundation, you can help create fee subsidies for conference attendees. #ACA2026

ACA 2026 will take place June 8–11, 2026, and we are still accepting workshop proposals connected to this year’s theme. An honorarium will be offered for selected workshops.

To submit a proposal, please email Jesse Carson at program-team-co-chair1[at]archivists.ca.

This workshop will explore how transcription tools, including AI-assisted options, can help improve access to archival collections, introduce participants to different platforms, and share practical guidance for planning transcription projects.

This will be an apolitical meeting focused on identifying where cuts have been made and deciding how participants can best pool resources and amplify their voices through joint action to call for funding to be restored.
