maybe like a robe that gives 100 extra mana. lets you cast more and higher lvl spells, but still viable for alot of the game

I also enjoy in Baldurs Gate 3, how items dont have a level requirement or get out leveled. the ability is good for the whole game

mayb this is an option you said, but I think having your starting mana, you can unlock higher spells that cost more mana, but your mana increases through the game to accomodate
