Happy Independence Day to all my American friends!
On this occasion, I truly hope and wish that America can sustain its scientific eminence and glory of the past.
Thrilled to share that our collaborative proposal on Phytoremediation of #PFAS & heavy metals led by Prof. Sadik Khan at the Jackson State University is now awarded by the #NSF! Thanks to #AichLENS PhD candidate Anika Azme for providing preliminary data.
After minor hiccup with flight plans, heading towards @DukeU for #AEESP2025! Looking forward to meet the friends and colleagues within environmental science and engineering community. Also, #AichLENS members will present 5 posters on #PFAS treatment. @aeesprofs.bsky.social
This is so true. I have always been fascinated how NSF helped to remain at the Frontier of science.
The ongoing reports of dismantling academic and scientific research institutions and the agencies safeguarding the nation's health, environment, and economy are deeply concerning. This trend is distressing and has far-reaching implications.
It’s an honor that I have graduated from @unlincoln.bsky.social’s Research Leaders Program (2024–2025 cohort) & received an Executive Certificate in Leadership!
Thanks to UNL Office of Research & Innovation for organizing this amazing program & selecting me to be one of 12 participants! #AichLENS
This coming Tuesday I will be giving a Keynote Speech at the IOWA #PFAS Conference. I will be discussing on our group's approach to use advanced nanomaterials for #PFAS treatment in water and wastewater. Excited to meet other colleagues & researchers working on #PFAS! @pfasproject.bsky.social
🎉 I’m incredibly honored and grateful to share that I’ve been awarded tenure at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln!
This milestone is more than just a title—it marks the culmination of a 9-year journey filled with a lot of ups/downs, small wins, incredible collaborations, and constant learning.

👏 Great news!
🇫🇷 Today French MPs voted to #BanPFAS from consumer products like clothing and cosmetics.
Over 140,000 citizens called on their MPs to back the ban & this is a huge win for the protection of people’s health & environment in France.

So sorry for everyone in Southern California. This wildfire distasteful is horrible. Hope it stops soon.
Thank you.
This is alarming. I am now thinking if one of the reviews that I received last time was AI generated. What software did you use to check?
Happy New Year Everyone!
15 years ago today, I left my home in Bangladesh for a new chapter in the USA. This transformative journey has tested my personal and professional boundaries, presenting challenges that have ultimately led to profound growth and fulfillment. #Gratitude #AichLENS

#PFAS in band-aids and bandages lead to a class action lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson! It is only the tip of the iceberg -many more to come after USEPA’s new #PFAS regulations.
