I've not written any horror yet, but subgenres I enjoy reading/watching skew towards psychological. I dislike in your face horror (slasher/gore), as the mind creates much better scares. "The Haunting" (1963) is one of the most frightening films ever, and you don't see anything!

I'm Gert from England. I was a mad horror fan (books and films) when I was younger, and still love Steven King's earlier works. My favourite film ever is The Wicker Man (huge Edward Woodward fan), and I hope my WIP - What Leys Below - will capture that ominous folk horror vibe.
