Born in 75. I didn’t watch Carrie until I was old enough, and even then I mostly watched it for the shower scene. Teenage horniness > actual terror 😆
Jaws when I was about 9 terrified me.
Aliens for my 13th birthday video party was probably not a good idea either
Still a sweet summer child, happy nameday Stef 🎂
Now this is the content that I originally came over to Bluesky to see 😃
Take my money, I’ll subscribe to this show!
A blonde haired Elf from Lord of the Rings
A Roman soldier
Rewatching Fellowship of the Ring, such a great film.
I was today years old when I realised the same actor played these two…
She’s absolutely dreadful. She rose to prominence as a ‘journalist’ by getting texted Tory party lines around Brexit and treating is as gospel. I can’t watch the TV whilst she is on 😬😤
The difference is that show Cersei was the smartest character in the show, and everything worked out for her (until the very end). Book Cersei is nowhere near this level of competence, she’s going to be defeated by overestimating her own abilities and her many schemes, so I just don’t see it
I agree with all your ideas (or at least don’t disagree with any that I haven’t really thought about), it all makes sense… and definitely helps me see through the mists at some of the things that happened that I was unable to attribute to individual actions, so thank you 🙌
Great detectoring! And I’m really glad you took the time to break the fight down, because I was never going to.
Clearly the book and show differ slightly - in my head, book Baelor deals with all 3 of the Kingsguard but this cannot have happened in show.
Are these the same ‘red lines’ that were never clearly defined at any point leading up to the Brexit referendum, that Theresa May plucked out of thin air, and that were never practical (they created a huge issue regarding Northern Ireland)?
I’m 4 chapters into a LOTR reread, the hobbits have just entered the Old Forest.
Definitely a case of #MarchSadness
100% agree about the book readers restraint. Some of the show watchers could have been a little more aware of watchers in other regions to the US. I saw a lot of spoilers before I had chance to watch the show in the UK. It’s been a long time since I willingly got up at 2am to watch AGOT episodes!
This Bean shames us all with how cute she is
“Seven hells”
“Nine actually”
😂
This made me laugh out loud. Which is not a good thing as I’m supposed to be on a Teams call 😳😆
It’s Wednesday, #WesterosWednesday,
and I have hot off the presses a fresh blog post of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and Game of Thrones content:
The right hand also soars to cramping in a sad way, maybe there is some lasting memory of a time long past…
Lovely mini! 🤩
Still a few years away from finding out whether you manage it 😘
Share a TV show that raised you.
Agreed! It would be a lot simpler if we had Blood & Fire to accompany it. But I guess that’s down the priority list being TWOW and the next D&E novella?
Aerion is the bad Targ. His elder brother is Daeron. It’s easy to see why you might get confused 😆
The March of the Black Queen (Queen) is a brilliant song from a brilliant album (Queen II)
Bought the book, and it looks great, but I just don’t know where to find the time to paint and play these days
Some sort of Elves? I have literally no idea about the AoS armies, and not much more about W:TOW, and this makes me sad 😢
