Maj Gen Richard Montgomery led American troops in capture of Montreal, 13 Nov 1775, but lost Quebec on 31 Dec. Montgomery died otd 1775, he was the husband of my maternal 10th cousin, Janet Livingston.

Francis Albert Augustus Charles Emmanuel of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha, aka Prince Albert, Consort of Queen Victoria, died otd 1861 of typhoid fever. Albert & HRH Victoria were married 10 Feb 184O. He was my maternal 7th cousin.

Virginia Gov John Knollys West was born otd 1590, the son of Anne Knollys & Thomas West, 2nd & 11th Lord De La Warr.
John arrived in Jamestown 1624. He was the 6th Gov of VA 1629-1630. My maternal first cousin.

Maj Gen Robert Howe died 14 Dec 1786. The highest ranking North Carolinian in Continental Army, he was 7th in seniority among generals in Rev War. He presided over court martial of Benedict Arnold. He was my paternal 7th cousin.
