Thanks for sharing The Autons also used to scare me as a child. My parents took me to London quite often in those days, and I once refused to go into a shop because I was convinced the mannequins were going to come alive and shoot us like in Doctor Who. Childhood imagination is powerful!
I remember Jo, who was such a cool companion and I think the Doctor’s car was Bessie. I definitely was not imagining the Autons… those scary shop dummies that came to life and opened their wrists to shoot at people. Childhood nightmare fuel!
Ah yes; Daleks, Cybermen, and Yetis… the full childhood nightmare package. The Daleks were the worst though. One glimpse and I was behind the sofa faster than they could shout EX‑TER‑MINATE.
