It’s always a pleasure to have a visit from @andyhowardphoto.bsky.social & a joy to see his beautiful photos. These gorgeous squirrel & kite shots were taken from our hides on Sunday. Enjoy! @thephotohour.bsky.social @clarehartephoto.bsky.social @naturescotland.bsky.social

The Mull nature book has made good progress this winter. Meetings with publishers and some more text in place. Pictured is a female Golden Eagle arriving back to the eyrie with a vocal eaglet hoping for a delivery of prey!

Great Shearwater 🥰

Years scanning Hebridean seas with the dream of spotting one of these magical seabirds became a reality this autumn with a huge influx! A bird with less than five records in Mull waters and on one 6 hour pelagic we recorded c6000 in waters to the west 🤯

Out now!🔊 The SMP Report provides an overview of the status of the UK’s breeding #seabirds since 1986. It further highlights declines as shown by the recent Seabirds Count, a census of Britain & Ireland’s seabirds.

If you bring central London to a halt in order to campaign against catastrophic climate change then you're a "barmy" eco "fanatic" who deserves to be locked up.

If you do the same to hang on to your multimillion pound inheritance tax exemption then you're a brave freedom fighter defying the odds

Latest paper from our work on satellite-tagged golden eagles in Scotland, showing considerable intra-regional variation of home range sizes. Also, tiny ranges in Outer Hebrides (closed sub-pop) vs large in NE Highlands (many unoccupied territories due to persecution). www.mdpi.com/1424-2818/16...

I work as a wildlife guide in the Hebrides and I love running, campaigning, hiking, big fan of Goshawks and I love learning about the natural world, let's do this! 🦋
