A blue-faced honey-eater, another of the locals. These wonderful birds are important pollinators in Australia, often referred to as banana birds as they frequent banana plantations when they're in flower.

They are cooperative breeders, meaning juvenile birds often help raise their younger siblings.

Thanks Alex. It took some patience, the clouds were moving and changing so rapidly, one moment there were no clouds around the peak, the next completely obscured.
