Hey Seattle-area yarn 🧶 lovers who also love purple - we have a tradition at our shop that we put our least favorite color on sale for our birthdays. Cheryl isn’t a big fan of purple, so purple yarn is 10% off this weekend - come wish her happy birthday, take all the purple away, and make her happy!

We are still collecting warm clothing for farm workers in the region. For those looking for ways to take action, we encourage you to check out some of the resources we have information about in the shop (see previous post).

Rapid Response Training - WAISN Learn how statewide rapid response networks mobilize for deportation defense in this virtual training focused on supporting communities and keeping families together.

We are open today, Jan. 30th. We will be donating 25% of our proceeds today to the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN). WAISN holds monthly Rapid Response and Know Your Rights Trainings - the next training is next week and we hope you’ll consider signing up.

-We have “know your rights” information cards at our register, in English and Spanish. We’re down to one of each, but we’re happy to make you a copy any time.

-For several months now, we have had links at our register and in our classroom for you to donate directly to food banks in our community.

-We have been collecting warm clothing for Washington’s farm workers, in collaboration with WashMasks Mutual Aid (a group we have proudly worked with for several years). We will continue that collection for another month, through mid-February.

A fun and successful class! We taught the Toph Hat by @woollywormhead.bsky.social and look at these awesome results!
Students learned lots: chart reading, short rows, grafting in garter stitch, and more.
