Beautiful! Weβre waiting on our peonies still here.
Everything but the membership finalizations are finished. Plus I added a few things that weren't on the plan. I'm calling that successful and pushing membership finalizations to tomorrow. Time for some food and family time.
#Today is an unruly one. I know many of my todos are quick, simple things. But that doesn't make the size of the list any less daunting. One task at a time. Webinar follow-ups, newsletter reminders, multiple emails, weekly site maintenance, social media check-ins, and membership finalizationsβ¦

2. Fluffy slippers
3. Padded sleepmasks

#Today was a good day. Got a website for a local mutual aid group established using a new stack setup I hadnβt tried before. Happy with the initial results. Now itβs Chinese leftovers and maybe movie time. If not, then Ball X Pit.
#Today was solid. Webinar, groceries, thunderstorms, Chinese food, good music, and progress on a website for a local group Iβm involved with. Hope to finish that tomorrow. But now, itβs bedtime.
Missed a couple days!

And yes, it's sad that another indie multiplayer game doesn't have much of an audience. This is a problem smaller multiplayer games have had since forever! That's not really a story. Let alone a fun 'let's point and laugh at the failure' one.
It's just the bedrock of the current games ecosystem.
It's okay to just say 'I don't like multiplayer games'. You don't have to play them either.
But to grandstand and make it some kind of moral imperative to stand against them under the flag of corporate obstructionism is just losing the plot.
Can we not write angry articles before even LOOKING?
Okay, this isn't a live-service game.
It's a small, $15 regular 5v5 multiplayer game. The only DLC is a $5 'supporter pack' that gives every character one more skin and the soundtrack.
It's exactly what people have been demanding because they HATE live-service games. And then gets punished as one!

A black and white photo of a yard art torso statue of a sailor at the wheel. He is wearing a hood of some sort, perhaps a rain hood. There are trees and a house in the background and a fence with lights in the foreground.
While out yesterday morning photographing something unrelated, I ran across this creepy-ass yard art.

A color photo of a section of wall in an old historic rural homestead. The wall was of stacked stone construction with a coating of stucco which is pealing in small sections revealing the stone underneath.
In the shade of a tree the pealing stucco reveals the underlying stone construction.

I hope this one is far less trouble!
A dark and dramatic black and white photo inside an abandoned cabin. There's an old wood burning stove next to a tall cabinet with glass doors that are open. In the bottom right, you can see the edge of a wooden dining table and a chair.

Stunning!
Walk completed! Now time to get things finalized for the upcoming webinar and put the finishing touches on a membership program for another client. If there's spare time, I'd like to make some progress on a local project for a community action group that I've established the foundations for.
#Today is off to a late start. I stayed up late listening to thunderstorms, then slept in a little. Then I found out there were new flowers blooming out back and had to grab the camera. Now it's time to caffeinate and walk. Then work. Probably will be a late work night tonight, but that's okay.

#Today is a bit off kilter, but falling into place. Keats and Co coldbrew is delicious! Finalizing promotional materials, lining up the next webinar, dropping by the library for on-site work, and screening the movie Pride tonight (also at the library).
Hope your days are going well!

A small, handsome duck swimming in a lake with his reflection. He has a black head, white sides, black and white patterned feathers on top of his body and a black tail. His bill is blue and his eyes are gold. The water is reflecting nearby trees in different shades of bright green with a dark curvy line going down the center. The scaup is surrounded by concentric rings of ripples.
Handsome handsome
Look at this gorgeous fun-size scaup with his blue bill and gorgeous reflection. He's definitely not "lesser."

A black and white photo of a very dilapidated out building with random items scattered around it.
Sad to see the old ladder-back chair out in the elements.

thinking of all the teachers when I was a kid who used to clap while swinging their clapping hands in a broad circle as they would say "a ROUND of applause," I hope you nerds are all doing well.
Speaking of webinars. If you'd like to hear my sweet dulcet tones facilitate a #writing webinar and/or have interest in #publishing options for #authors, this is free (as in sign up for her mailing list) this weekend and includes a Q&A session for audience questions.

#Today is a distraction day apparently. But have my first batch of cold brew with my Keats & Co beans brewing. Ate breakfast like a responsible adult. Knocked out my walking. Filed a tax extension like a semi-responsible adult. Now we have some flyer making, YouTube edits, and a webinar description.
