I wholeheartedly agree, I have seen enough of it with my own eyes to believe it, pity it isn’t given more airtime.

A pass permitting me to watch a performance of Macbeth, seated onstage with the cast.
A unique audience experience for an intensely powerful performance of Macbeth at Lyric Belfast today. Could literate the whites of their eyes. Superb stuff from @druidtheatre.bsky.social as always. Bravo to all involved 👏👏👏

Moya Brennan with a harp behind her, performing at the Empire Music Hall, Belfast, 2024
Moya Brennan was a lovely human being and an astonishing singer and musician. I wrote an online appreciation of Moya yesterday morning when I heard the news of her passing. Since then, I've added a few parts and uploaded it to my Dig With It site. You can read it here:

I’ve been hooked on the story of the Belfast Blitz since I listened to my grandparents stories of it when I was a child, it largely passes unnoticed now which is a shame given the impact it had & the loss of life involved. These Days is a brilliant read, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Who doesn’t love a great prison break story?
#OTD 85 years ago, Easter Tuesday 1941, Belfast endured its heaviest bombardment of the Blitz, over 700 killed in one night. The Luftwaffe largely missed their intended target of the shipyard, instead pounding the residential areas of North & East Belfast.
