For weeks I’ve been hearing the calls of our resident Brown Thornbills, mixed in with the eerie downward trills of the Shining Bronze-cuckoo.

They have an ecological partnership, of sorts. It may make you feel squeamish… But is it a horror story?

Hey @treewizard.bsky.social I love your work! There are some highly qualified gum nuts that hang out on INaturalistAu inaturalist.ala.org.au (especially Dean Nicolle and Tony Bean) - it's a good place to get ID's for Eucalypts (and other Aust flora and fauna).
