A great CA park is Wilder Ranch State Park. It’s just north of Santa Cruz on Hwy 1- a 7,000 acre old ranch with the original 1897 house and outbuildings.

Then there the ocean bluffs- wow. Plus a beach off limits to humans where snowy plovers and other shore birds nest.

Hard to pick a favorite in Santa Cruz County. We have 15 State Parks either on the beaches of Monterey Bay or in the coastal range forests.

Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park has fantastic trails through giant redwoods, meadows, creeks, and other delights. You can ride a horse there too.

People don’t forget about things like an Amazon warehouse employee dropping dead on the job and a manager telling the crew to keep working, pay no attention to the dead guy over there.

It’s hard to imagine why…oh and then there are his parents.
