Selfie of a white woman with brown hair. She is wearing a shirt that says Not Lazy, #energy saving on it. Her black and white tuxedo cat is staring at her because he wants treats.
Having both ME/CFS and insomnia is pure evil. And why not add a fibro flare and daily chronic migraines to the mix?
My new shirt is great: it says “Not Lazy #Energy Saving” and has Stitch sleeping with his dolly.

I have fibro and ME/CFS in addition to migraines so I never know what is causing the brain fog. 😫

Dobby is such a love bug. We almost lost him to a suspected stroke 3 months ago. #catsofbluesky
Having a bag migraine day. It’s weird tho. It comes and goes and that’s not normal for me. Usually pain is constant so not sure what’s going on. #migrainechat

My doc confirmed I have a diagnosis of ME/CFS. I’m trying to learn more so I can understand it better and improve my situation.
I had my 1st set of occipital nerve blocks & trigger pt injections on Monday and they seem to help. The awful headaches that I thought were also migraines are mostly gone.

I'm one diagnoses away from donating my body to science... while I'm still alive.
@dear_chronic_pain
I have tomorrow off for my first occipital nerve blocks and trigger point injections. Should be ok, but I am a little nervous because it’s something I’ve never had done and I’m just hoping it helps with the pain. Apparently if this works/helps I get a new diagnosis of occipital neuralgia.

For me it’s mostly aphasia, balance, and that weird sensation that I can’t describe. I was sent to the ER for the first one and had a CT scan and then my neurologist had me also get another MRI and ultrasounds of my arteries in my neck. Just to make sure there wasn’t a stroke.

I’ve been struggling lately. My numbers are still normal but trending quickly towards iron deficiency anemia. I’ll have 3 iron infusions next week to see if it helps the exhaustion. I napped for 5 hrs on Saturday and Sunday because I have no energy.

I found chronic fatigue in my chart but I’m not sure if it’s technically ME/CFS or not. I do have fibromyalgia which can also cause fatigue 🤷♀️

I was diagnosed and treated with paxlovid in 2022 or 2023. And ever since then my pain, migraines, and fatigue have been way worse. My issue is that I also have a recent history of iron deficient anemia and so am I tired because of that or…?

But I am utterly exhausted in both body and mind every day. Some days are better than others but I’ve become a big fan of naps.

I feel like if I bring up long Covid to my (newish) PCP that she will forever label me a hypochondriac. On the migraine front, I saw a headache specialist for the first time and they recommended that my pain doctor add occipital nerve blocks and trigger point injections in addition to Botox.

A white woman dressed in shorts and a tank top stands before a Mayan pyramid.
One of my favorite pictures from my cruise. 3/4 shore excursions were to Mayan ruins. I love history (I have 2 history degrees) and Mayan history has always fascinated me. This was Chaachoben. #history

#MigraineChat On a cruise this week and no migraines at all. Which totally makes sense because my biggest trigger is stress. Maybe I just need to be on vacation for the rest of my life. Anyone want to give me a few million dollars? 🤣🤣💚

I’ve had one infusion so far. Not convinced it’s doing anything just yet. I have chronic daily migraines and headaches. In a Facebook group I’m in there are some that call it their miracle med and others where it didn’t do anything.

I’m not. We think my cat had a stroke. He’s making progress but I’m all discombobulated. On the bright side, my brother got me your book for Christmas 💙

An orange and white cat sits curled up on a blue and white blanket.
We think my cat Dobby had a stroke. He couldn’t eat for several days (almost like he forgot how) but he started eating today. I almost fell over in shock. I’m starting to have hope that he will be with us longer than we thought earlier this week. Here’s a picture from a more carefree time. #cats

Orange and white cat in a play cardboard house.
Took Dobby to the emergency vet last night. He was falling over, not eating, and missed badly on a jump he normally makes. They found a heart murmur (which is brand new - he had a vet appt this summer and they didn’t find anything), an enlarged left ventricle, and something shiny in his intestines.

Is this why I’ve never been able to French braid my hair? My arms would always get tired and weak very quickly.
