A crudely made sign stand of bundled bamboo held together with wire, upon which is mounted a roughly made sign of a single piece of wood, painted black, on which someone has crudely written BOOKS with an arrow pointing to the right, in a street somewhere.

When I know it's definitely a trap, but I'm going anyway.

Definitely lives up to the hype. Tremendously moving. Lots of seemingly lived-in moments. I love how writers can pack so much into a small space. The ending had me in tears.

Today, in my Introduction to Literature class, a student said, “I don’t hate poetry anymore.”

I will go to sleep happy tonight.

I love painting. Always have. It often provides resonance (Rosa). Out of my recent paintings, I’m most proud of this one, which is 8x10 ins.

I’m not even done with this book and am already thinking about how much better society would be if everyone—yes, everyone—read this book. I wish someone had given this to me when I was a boy.

I just finished Weight of Nature. Fantastic book. I’m using it, particularly the 3rd part, for a possible conf paper. Thanks so much for writing it. Loved the writing style, too.

The Thing (1982) is a Thanksgiving movie.

Thought of it while prepping a Friendsgiving turkey today.

Almost a year now since I received this absolutely classic burn from the Canadian government.

Today, inspired by some of my students’ podcasts on mental health, I ran. It was my first run in months—and it very much felt like it.

They’re all getting zeros.

Iain Grinbergs - Letter to Shunryū Suzuki (from Northampton, England) - The Dewdrop Poet Iain Grinbergs draws our attention to the sacred details around us in "Letter to Shunryū Suzuki (from Northampton, England)".

Thrilled to have another poem out in the world. I wrote it as a tribute to Suzuki, whose teachings continue to be a great source of comfort.

I'm ecstatic over having two letter poems—one to Jack and one to Karen of Will & Grace—in South Florida Poetry Journal.

Will & Grace was an important show for me while growing up, although I didn't realize the full extent until later.

The difficulty with writing anything about anything is that any given thing, on closer inspection, appears to be connected to every thing, and now you’ve gone from writing about anything to writing about everything 😅
