They could have made the series about a lone survivor on a random trek through the world, while sometimes touching upon the larger events, maybe eventually leading to a culmination of both. But instead they dove right in pretty much from the start, and it's a stronger series for it.

It was a great decision to bring all the background lore of the franchise to the foreground. It takes many hours of gameplay (across several games tbh) to really get an idea of the full scope of fuckery that was behind the concept of the vaults.

Finally got around to watching Fallout. Freakin' loving it. Fun to watch all the familiar places, factions, details, sounds... Even original soundtrack details hidden in the new one! But also objectively a great plot with great characters. Not one weak episode so far 👌

That sounds both fun and interesting to learn more about, as well as a kick up our own arses for those of us who do best with some body doubling to do work of our own 💯
