In Leipzig wurden zwei unbekannte Frühwerke von Johann Sebastian Bach präsentiert, die Orgelkompositionen aus seiner Jugend sind. Der Bach-Forscher Peter Wollny identifizierte die Manuskripte nach 30 Jahren Forschung als Werke des Komponisten.

Das Foto zeigt eine der beiden Gedenktafeln an der Neuen Synagoge bzw. dem heutigen "Centrum Judaicum" in Berlin-Mitte, darauf die folgende Inschrift: "5. September 1866 - 5. September 1966. Diese Synagoge ist 100 Jahre alt und wurde am 9. November 1938 in der Kristallnacht von den Nazis in Brand gesteckt. Während des II. Weltkrieges 1939 - 1945 wurde sie im Jahre 1943 durch Bombenangriffe zerstört. Die Vorderfront dieses Gotteshauses soll für alle Zeiten eine Stätte der Mahnung und Erinnerung bleiben. Vergesst es nie. Jüdische Gemeinde von Groß-Berlin - Der Vorstand - September 1966". Die Tafel ist schwarz, die Inschrift hat eine goldene Farbe, an den Bildrändern ist das Portal des Gotteshauses zu erahnen.

Düsseldorf's 'Golden Bridge' is the city's oldest pedestrian bridge dating back to the 19th century, and looks almost like an impressionist painting in this slightly blurred mobile phone photo.

Yesterday, I took advantage of a few dry, sunnier moments to take pics in the garden. The leaves are now glowing in beautiful shades of yellow and red, and funny little mushrooms have sprung up in a flower pot.
Sloe and chrysanthemum add some additional splashes of colour.
