And we discussed where to go next into the future in the context of the next International Polar Year, Decade for Action on Cryospheric Sciences, and in the face of a quickly changing cryosphere & climate!
We connected with (new) colleagues and friends from around the world. We heard about the urgency to act even while we develop better predictions of impacts.
We were welcomed and concluded in a good way by Māori hosts. We celebrated multiple IGS award winners. We bore witness to a range of stark realities facing people as a result of the changing climate & cryosphere. We heard about important (and understudied) feedbacks - both positive and negative.
Thank you, @clicwcrp.bsky.social, for bringing together an engaging meeting of passionate experts of all stripes to discuss the crisis in the cryosphere and turning science into action!
