We... have a lot to work on. How did your old team organize itself?" As they talk, the sound of Tangle's paddle ball continues in the background with a THWAKITA-THWAKITA-THWAKITA sound effect. Whisper: We were all volunteers. We just... found one another. It wasn't formal until after we organized." Tangle: "You thinking of recruiting? I mean, the Chaotix do just fine with three members." THWAKITA-THWAKITA-THWAKITA Lanolin glares at the paddle ball. Lanolin: "I'd like us to diversify our options. More personnel means more ideas, more skills, more--" THWAKITA-THWAKITA-THWAKITA Lanolin snatches the paddle ball away. Lanolin: "--more options if there are multiple crises..." More panels from later in the same scene. Lanolin is talking to new recruit Duo the Cat (really Mimic the Octopus in disguise). Tangle's paddle ball is still sitting on the break room table. Lanolin: "We appreciate everyone who wants to help out, Duo. But do you have any special skills? Any--" Lanolin suddenly, angrily smacks the paddle ball off the table with her clipboard, then instantly regains her composure. Duo looks nervous while Tangle angrily squints at Lanolin. Lanolin: "--any prior experience you could bring to the team?" Duo: Um, well... I guess I'm pretty nimble? I'm good with computers? Oh! I did use a Wispon back during the war! Although... I guess most folks did, too... I'm a fast learner with lots of spirit?"

what's hilarious about this is that i actually did want to include this, but it just didn't fit into the natural flow of the post. but i love this scene. it's an example of why i like lanolin as an addition to the cast. it's funny. they're doing a comedy routine. it's spongebob and squidward shit

been informed that it's a minor point of contention among the most annoying sonic fans on tumblr that my lanolin post was "cherry picking" because it didn't show the bits where lanolin angrily smacks away tangle's paddle ball because this would show how Evil and Abusive she is
