I am a big believer in the conservation elements of exotic animal ownership. The practice has kept the axolotl going, and saved multiple geckos from extinction. But the more I observe of other keepers, the more I believe in licensing.
A vaquita porpoise
A jaguar
An ocelot
There are only 10 Vaquitas porpoises left in the world. And the Axolotl is predicted to go extinct by 2025. Highly likely they will both disappear. These two species can only be found in Mexico.

Did you know biologists believe that axolotls could be extinct in the wild by 2025? With less than 1000 individuals in the wild. Axolotls are critically endangered in the wild due to a number of threats, mainly due to Habitat loss as they are limited only to lake xochimilco.
