Just picked up and knit a good couple of inches on my Book Club Cardigan sleeves…I’m so glad I read through other people’s projects and picked up two sizes bigger. The sleeves would have been so tight and awkwardly proportioned otherwise 😅

Fully agree that this is the only way to live life. I, also, live bouncing around and working on different parts of my sweater as the whim hits

I feel like my entire world is now crumbling around me 😭

Are you telling me that coffee and matcha are not good substitutes for water???

Secured someone to help us shear the sheep in a month or so, dewormed horses, picked up feed for the horses and the sheep, cleaned the sheep shelter and put fresh straw in, and am now four inches into the body of my handknit and handspun Book Club Cardigan. I’d say it was a productive day 🤌🏻

It’s so much fun! I’ve been too sick to do too much in the shop the last week or two, but I’m so excited to feel better and get some spindles cranked out 🤌🏻

I’ve made this mistake before…and have 100% switched to a wheel and just been really neurotic about checking my twist angles 🤪😂

Because it’s a rule that you must have one of every craft going at a time! Or, at least, that’s what I tell myself 😂

I should do this for the enormous pile of mending I have hiding in my studio 🙈👀

I can’t wait until my name comes up on the waitlist 🤤

I was lucky to snag one before prices went bonkers on them 😅. I have a hard time digesting store bought wheat so having some treats in the freezer would be SO nice! I might have to do it after I get some filming and cleaning done 🙈

I really love a good Finn fleece — it’s such a lovely tactile experience and the fleeces are also. Like. Reasonable sizes 🙈. I haven’t played around with much BFL or Corriedale yet, but I’m hoping to snag some Corrie this fall to try out!

This is making me want to get my grain mill out and make some cinnamon rolls for the freezer 😍

I don’t know why it makes me so nervous, but I’m about to start filming another fiber arts podcast (btw. Calling it a podcast is so confusing to my neurospicey brain 😂) and it literally feels so overwhelming.

We are! We got them primarily for milk and the fiber and meat aspect are just a nice byproduct :). I’m hoping to breed them late summer/early autumn so we have winter lambs next year :)

Just a couple of more months until these little buggers get shorn and I can finally play around with handspinning /my own sheep’s/ fiber 🤌🏻

That turned out gorgeous! I love the soft heathering in the skein and am excited to see how it works up 😍

This is so cool! I love how they’re marching down the band!

Heheeee — I mean. I got mine, with a full tool set, for $150 on fb marketplace 👀. And if you need resource info I can send some good YouTube accounts and woodturning forums 👀😂. It’s already paid for itself in free spindles! 😂😂😂

It sounds very true with no wobble, & next time I’ll make sure to make a paper template to compare to for the shaft thickness…I’ve found it much easier to actually get it thin enough when I do that since I obviously can’t eye ball it (& could’ve definitely gotten it thinner if I’d noticed it!)

I obviously made some design changes after taking the in progress photo, but I’m actually rather chuffed with this spindle! The main shaft could be thinner (it always looks so much thinner on the lathe!), but I like the little bone details 🤪

Do ittttt! Haha, I am such a woolen spinner because it feels so magical and is so much faster. It just kind of ‘clicks’ at some point and it’s such a cool feeling when you can finally feel it in your fingers!

Ahhhh — this is making me want to play with my lathe today. But my house is trashed and I desperately need to get it back into some sort of organized state 😭

I love how dreamy and soft these colors are 😍

Woolen is always a good choice 🤌🏻. Literally can’t remember the last time I spun a true worsted yarn on my wheel 👀😂

This is beautiful! I love all of the color choices and the TEXTURE is divine 😍

I love the way the sisters at Inglenook see and utilize color. As someone who worked with color professionally for many years, it makes my heart so happy to see color theory in practice like this 😍
