He Couldn’t Be Found He couldn’t be found there was no one there of course, decades spent as a conduit, fitting in, nothing more than an empty people pleaser. His coffin felt hollow, the eulogy generic but scrupulously polite, the few dutiful faces realised only then he had successfully managed to navigate an almost entirely ripple-less life.

He was the ghost child in their family,
though it was his sisters and brother
who were ghosted.

He couldn’t be found because he was never lost. He was an unmade path. A song at the edge that you could hum but never put words to. He was a sigh at the end of a long day. A familiar book that gathers dust but always knows that it is loved. He was never a question.
