Ooooh, nice movie indeed. I watched it many years ago, with my father when I was a teenager. Solid classic sci-fi, here...

Can't wait! :)
Oh, nice to hear that!
We you have something to share, I'll be more that happy to check it out! :)
I relate a lot on the joy of solving issues on our owns... ;)
How's your game proceeding, by the way?
Thanks for the interest, again, I will notify when they'll be ready! :)
I'm a bit behind schedule with the documentation, but I plan to have it completed by the end of Spring. ;)
Tofu is in great shape! :D
Over the last few months I've been reworking quite a bit the graphics backend, to increase performance, and I'm pleased of the results.
Now I need to write down some devlogs about it! :D
I truly hope in a future where the reference platform for gaming is Linux...
... and I try and contribute with my tiny game engine, which is a multiplatform Linux-first project.

This is what I personally consider Amiga's swan song. One of the last games I played before leaving the platform for good. Possibly the best shooter.

Anybody aware of a chiptune-like synth library? Something like DuinoTune/tinytune but still supported or more recent?

Over the course of the last two months, I reworked my game-engine's rendering/graphics sub-system. I took notes during the process. Now the not-so-easy task to reorganize them and put it together... ๐
A devlog will follow soon enough. I hope. ๐

That's genuinely insane. Now I want a 3D printer. :D
Drop a teacher.
Oh, well... I thought I could just answer this conundrum myself with a small Pico8 snipped. :D
And, indeed, the order of operations when drawing an object is TRANSPARENCY and then MAPPING.
Transparency applies to the source colors, like expected.
I need some help from my fellow Pico-8 users out there. Regarding `pal()` and `palt()`, in what order are they conceptually applied? Is transparency applied to the original pixel color, or to the remapped one?

Well... you are awesome nonetheless!
( Playing guitar is a really demanding and hard endeavor )
It's such an awesome chord. One can use as a passing one and resolve "conventionally", or hold it and... woah. :)
In rock/metal music, however, is used quite a bit...
( you are good at music!!! )
I was raised listening to EVH, sus4 chords are my bread an butter! ๐ฅฐ
( but examples of Sus4 and Sus2 chords are more common than most casual users could think )
Ooooh...
... as a guitarist myself, and EVH lover, I can't approve more. โค๏ธ
Tiertex was, sadly, well-known back then for sucking at home conversions from the arcade games...
This game was amazing. Top-notch graphics and gameplay. Badass music. I loved it.

So...
... texture double-buffering and PBO ring implemented.
The upload and draw phases of the rendering system are as detached as possible (for now).
Now, on to reworking the transparency management to improve performance even more.
