The upload and draw phases of the rendering system are as detached as possible (for now).
Now, on to reworking the transparency management to improve performance even more.

I totally agree with Rez Graham.
Rather than spending time learning how a third-party engine works, I chose to hone my skills and work on my game engine.
It's super fun...

I finally managed to find some time to sketch and test an image-loading optimization I have been having in mind for months.
I will write a blog entry about it in the next days.
Spoiler: deciding if an optimization is worth the effort is not easy. ๐

I've been trying Remotery today. It's really a nice piece of software, with some VERY clever tricks here and there.
Anyhow, I won't be using it for #TofuEngine. I don't want to pollute the codebase with profiling calls here and there.
