The sales from book fairs generated money for me to add new books to the library. My elementary library budget was 0. Scholastic books fairs aren’t perfect, but they also meet the needs of bothers adults and the kids.
I haven’t been in a school library for more than 10 years, but when I hosted book fairs there was a wide variety of books with prices from $2 to $20.
As a former school librarian, I would often buy books or use the funds we got from sales to purchase books for kids.
Let’s go, 2026!!!!!! #blueskybooks
Seeing my book in the wild never gets old, especially when it’s on the local author shelf next to Beth Macy’s best seller and 2025 favorite for @barackobama.bsky.social

“You have to write the book that wants to be written. And if the book will be too difficult for grown-ups, then you write it for children.”

When critique partners celebrate your accomplishments and share their praise, they’re more than acquaintances. They’re friends. #booksky #writingcommunity #amwriting #authors
IDK what people are hating on. The Life of a Showgirl is brilliant. Lyrics are a writer’s dream. I am moving and shaking. Already got my favorite lines. #taylorswift #thelifeofashowgirl #poetry
Had so much fun learning and finding community at @scbwi-ohionorth.bsky.social
Traveling for @scbwi-ohionorth.bsky.social and I just told my husband, “I spent all my cashflow on books.”

This is a character-driven book based on a real event. I used archetypes to build my characters: the Fool, the Matriarch, and the Messiah. I love taking these templates and making them into living, breathing humans with the facts from primary sources. #writingcommunity
Love this!
Love the sound of this!
Thanks for hosting!
👋I’m excited to participate! I write for early readers to YA. I love to write about family & the truths of the 🌎.
My WIP is a HF YA about good trouble on the Underground Railroad. I used the Heroine’s Journey to plot it out, but it’s based on true events!
