here are some of the post boxes I spotted when there last with with Les Accents for our performance of Vivaldi's "Il Tamerlano".

Looking forward to a week in the Netherlands, a couple of days of teaching and entrance auditions at Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag - Royal Conservatoire The Hague followed by two days of masterclasses at the Conservatorium Maastrict. Big thanks to Will Sanders for the invitation to Maastrict!
Some photos from the horn class at Julliard School last week. Great working with these students - and a nice cross section of music including Bach, Beethoven, von Krufft, Richard Strauss and Ricardo Matosinhos!
Massive thanks to Yoni Levyatov who collaborated both with the students and myself.
...ahd Henry Friedman played some of the Haydn Concerto.
Madelyn Urbine performed some of the Beethoven Op. 17 Sonata....
A lovely day on Monday with the horn players of the Curtis Institute where I gave a masterclass and recital. Thanks to Jeffrey Lang, Katya Jarmulowicz, Marcus Shaw plus friends for sharing some of the Telemann Triple Concerto.
Spot all the horns on this truck! Spotted these #hiddenhorns on the Nemzeti Filharmonikusok (Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra) van parked outside Müpa in Budapest last week.
Coming up this week! Recitals and masterclasses in the USA. Monday 13th of April Curtis Institute, Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th of April Eastman School of Music and Thursday 14th of April Julliard School of Music.
Massive thanks to Isabelle Roelofs and Marieantonia Rieuz who generously loaned instruments for this project. Across the section we had instruments by Andreas Jungwirth, Daniel Kunst, Richard Seraphinoff (Hofmaster and Leichnambschneider models), and Zoltán Juhász.
The section included current and recent students Sarah Brien, Pablo Traine, João Lidóro Lopes, Janire De Paz Rivas alongside myself and our head of department Teunis van der Zwart.
As part of the 200th Jubilee celebrations at Het Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag / The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague we performed music from Handel's Fireworks Music and Joseph Bologne Chevalier de Saint-Georges's Overture to L'amant anonyme on Wednesday night.
What a fantastic horn team and what a fantastic night!
Celebrating 200 years of The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag in style with our Jubilee concert tonight.
Heading back right now for more with these fantastic musicians in the coming days.
Some lovely images from the most recent Koninklijk Conservatorium / Royal Conservatoire natural horn class VSA.
Spent a good chunk of today prepping for a project next month - Reinoud Van Mechelen's group a nocte temporis will be touring and recording Rameau's "Les Boréades" at ... A400, hence a lot of plumbing exploration going on today in order to persuade one of my horns to play nicely at that pitch!
Love these! Manhole covers in Budapest, Hungary, spotted my friend and fellow horn player Karen Libischewski. I'm just returning from the same city with some more #Hiddenhorns and #Hiddenhornplayers ready to share!
A detail in this mural on a building opposite (Dwyer Cultural Center, I think....) where I stayed last month
in Harlem, NYC caught my eye! #HiddenHorn?
I so adore this little fellow! Isn't he marvellous? A wonderful spot by @wdmbox of this little #HiddenHornPlayer discovered in the Duke of Wellington’s Dining Room at @ApsleyHouse Hyde Park Corner.
It's an old favourite but I always pause to enjoy these two... You'll see this design on a number of doors in Paris. #HiddenHornPlayers
Huge thanks to Jeroen for spearheading this, to Mark for his generosity and inquisitiveness in sharing his instrument, to @InsulaOrchestra to their hospitality and to KCB research for their essential support of this project.
Alongside fellow horn players @zanettalex, Georg Koëhler, @mariantonia.riezu and Jeroen Billiet, I got to explore this instrument. The results of which were documented by @korneelbernolet and which will be disseminated in due course.
Just returning from a short trip to Paris to participate in a fascinating research project headed up by Jeroen Billiet. Our colleague Mark De Merlier recently discovered an original Haas horn which has been now lovingly restored by Luc Gallois.
A pair of #HiddenHornPlayers spotted at the Arxiu de la Corona d’Aragó (General Archive of the Crown of Aragon) in Barcelona by my friend and colleague Uli Hübner. Aren't they splendid?
A #HiddenHornPlayer (or a squirly trumpet?). Can the hive mind help identify where this is from? It was sent to me by Martin Schliemann who had it sent as a photograph from a friend in South Germany but he's not sure where exactly his brass player is.... Anyone recognise it?
A bonus of the recent Irish Baroque Orchestra Trials of Tenducci tour was getting to meet Juan Berríos and some of his horn students at Virginia Tech, what a lovely bunch!
