Many of us are ready to shake off winter, but habits like screen time can be hard to break.
In our latest blog, we explore how something as simple as stepping outside–even for a few minutes–can have a powerful impact on a young person’s mood, focus, and overall wellbeing.
During the week of March 16, our team was in Prince Edward Island delivering Sport3 in partnership with the Charlottetown Boys and Girls Club. Together, we welcomed approximately 40 participants from five local schools for an incredible week of learning and connection.

The NBYICN, in partnership with the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada, creates Comfort Kits for children and youth entering the care system. This year, we plan to provide 70 personalized backpacks filled with thoughtful items to help ease the transition into an out-of-home placement.
Teachers have been at the heart of our work. Recently, the New Brunswick Teachers Association and 41 of its members joined us at our fundraising event, Lunch and Conversation with the Cabinet on Youth Mental Health. Their presence and partnership mean so much!

Cannexus is Canada’s leading national conference on career development and PFY has been attending and presenting for nearly 20 years. This year, our Youth Works and NBYCN teams focused on deepening their understanding of new research and the growing complexities facing youth in and from care.
Youth Works is designed to support youth in and from care as they build confidence, skills, and pathways toward employment and education. Through up to 11 interactive workshops and one-on-one mentoring, participants develop practical job readiness skills.

In 2025, The Rent Bank helped dozens of New Brunswick youth and families stay safely housed by providing short-term financial support during tough times.
This small but powerful program prevents homelessness before it starts, offering stability, dignity, and breathing room when it’s needed most.
By the end of January, many people feel like they’ve already “failed” at their resolutions. But what if we let go of rigid goals and focused on something gentler? In our latest blog, we explore the difference between resolutions and intentions.
We are pausing our social media posts as we send our support and our genuine thoughts and deepest sympathies to our friends and the community of Neqotkuk as they grieve during this tragic and sad time.
From policy tables to community surveys, the New Brunswick Youth Advisory Council made their voices count in 2025.
Backed by lived experience and a drive to improve youth mental health supports, council members engaged directly with government leaders and helped shape a more youth-informed future.
