On Sunday, Ambassador Joanna Roper and Defencé Attache Colonel Piers Strudwick laid a wreath at the US Memorial Day ceremony in Margraten, honouring the over 10,000 American military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom during WWII.

Yesterday, UKinNL attended the 80th anniversary liberation of The Hague commemorations at the Grote Kerk.
On 8 May 1945, the Royal Netherlands Brigade Princess Irene who had been stationed in Wolverhampton during the war, entered The Hague as liberators.
