In my novel, A Basquet of Cats, I cheat by using direct mind-to-mind human-cat communication. But it's also fantasy, so it's not really a cheat... :-)

Last day at #Iridescence EasterCon 2026. Great fun overall; got to meet some very nice people. And the publisher @guardbridgebooks.bsky.social sold out the prerelease copies of A Basquet of Cats yesterday! :-)

EasterCon! We are currently at EasterCon, and yesterday was the big day when pre-release copies of A Basquet of Cats became available. They look gorgeous! The launch event was in the evening, together withe Slab Press, who launch their newest dark SF anthology Obsidian. An interesting contrast, the light(er)-hearted YA fantasy, and a collection of less optimistic novelettes and novellas in cold, cold space.

It's EasterCon, and my book is out! (Magical #cats!)
