I did a dark blue oil wash on mine, worked pretty good. Your mileage may vary.
Scratch built House made out of cardboard and other useless junk. In the picture it's covered in wet glue to be primed.
Played my first game of Mordheim, with my Carnival and beat my buds Witchhunters with oversized squeaky hammers and a ripe dose of smelly clown shoe. It did leave me with the impression that I need more residential terrain, so in a fever pitch I whipped this up. #mordheim #warhammer #miniatures

Love this, I'm a sucker for a blog, I had one back when I was younger (way past the prime of blogs). Read your first post. As an artist before I joined the hobby, 28 is basically the only way I found to flex that artsy muscle outside of really pushing your painting chops. Keep up the posts!
R'lyeh Siren Bust, a siren bust that is being corrupted by an eldritch worm that has infected it's body. The model is vibrant Greens, Purple and blues blended to create a bioluminescence. She is mostly bare skinned, but has a mantle of eldritch mutation, and half her face has turned into a parasitic worm.

I want to follow up and say some things about this. This year I almost quit painting and art entirely. I quit my design career of 10 years and found myself completely lost. I struggled really bad with imposter syndrome and being validated in that by others. My only advice is to just keep going.
In 2025 my goal was to improve my art and take it more seriously. I've struggled a lot. I've struggled with perfectionism, bad art critique, negative self-talk and general disgust for not being as good as others. But here's my first and last pieces of the year. #art #newyear #miniatures #nerdlings
