Due to all the storms in VA, I had go to the Keystone State to get a hike in.

The 30 mile West Rim Trail traverses the the Pine Creek Gorge, aka PA Grand Canyon.

I was able to get some really epic shots of the hike. Here are just a few.

Finally was able to get out of hibernation and go on my first backpacking trip of the year. The Three Ridges Loop was spectacular.

Nice!!! I have an idea of a 6-day loop itinerary starting and ending at Jenny Lake. One night would be in Alaska basin and one night would be at this place called Kit Lake which I still have to do more research on, but I've heard is a really good off-the-grid location.

I was going to try for August, but I know it's probably the most popular time with the wildflowers and weather.

I've read early July can be pretty treacherous, how was the snow when you hiked that early in the season?

I'm going to be trying for permits in January. Was it really as difficult to get them as I've others have made it out to be?

Anyone else see this last night? Apparently this is called a moon halo. It happens when the moon's light is refracted by ice crystals in cirrus clouds.

Luckily I was able to grab my camera and get a good shot before it disappeared.

One of my favorite hikes. That was the first time I'd hiked out west. The weather was perfect, and it was cool learning/planning for the tides.

On my last night at Pictured Rocks, I was hoping for the northern lights, I settled for a fiery sunset. Not a bad consolation prize.

So my photo "Golden Hour at Mather Point"was selected as a finalist for the Grand Canyon Conservancy's 2025 Digital Membership Card.

It didn't win, but it was amazing to even be considered.

No one is going to mourn Ryan Walters nor should they, but he wasn't a coach that was easy to hate. Just seemed like he was in way over his head.

I hope the athletic department understands the gravity of this next hire, with all the changes in college football, you have to get this right. #purdue

The announcers calling Walters a "defensive minded coach" is only technically true. Looking at Purdue's season, you would never believe that. #purdue
