Is Mod Podge good for anything? Every time I use Mod Podge in a project i'm like "well, the Mod Podge didn't work." Why do I keep trying to use it? Is it only good for gluing magazine cutouts to wooden boxes?

Thank you for sharing your insights! I never thought of doing the "wrong" things.
Oh ok! I will have to try this, thank you. I can just print around it for now
I'm a little nervous about doing hip pads. I want something a bit more elegant than "carve Africa out of foam and wear three pairs of tights."
www.dominiquealyse.com/product-page... this isn't the pattern that I'm using, but it's very similar if anyone without their own uh... home made pattern wants a jumping off point.
Black fabric breast form sitting on a green table top
I have to make femme padding for the blue dragon I'm working on. My model is a broad chested person, so store bought forms are all too narrow. I'm prototyping my own with stretch fabric and poly pellets.
Where'd I get the pattern? That's none of your business. ๐คซ
whaaat? With our without glue stick?
apparently you're supposed to smear down some glue stick to act as a release agent, or use masking tape. I was printing something really thick and beefy, which caused the ripping as I struggled to get it off the bed.
"Rachel, just flip it over!" This is the second time I've done this ๐ญ
I didn't know you weren't supposed to print TPU on a PEI sheet and peeled a chunk off and now i gotta buy a new one ๐ฅบ
I say mine is apatosaurus but it's actually quetzalcoatlus. I know that's not a dinosaur but it's my favorite ๐ฉ
Holy smokes that looks good. Layer lines who? ๐
"Go to Los Angeles... Find your dream fabric there! What's a six hour drive in the pursuit of greatness?"
NO cursed mask, I won't!! This isn't that big of a deal!!
Also Blue Moon charges way too much for what this is, but they have the best color selection. You can find this cheaper on a lot of websites as "matte milliskin," or "matte nylon spandex."
Thank you! This is specifically Blue Moon Fabrics matte nylon spandex. I baste it to Big Z Fabrics mochi minky with Odif 505 spray adhesive and sew them as one fabric.
You have to be very careful what you touch when wearing this kind of fabric, though.
Kinda worried about posting this one to IG because I'll get lots of comments telling me stuff I already know.
Kicking myself because I've tested swatches for abrasion resistance before. I don't know why I didn't do it this time!!!
Hit a big snag with Risandria. I might have to buy a different fabric and start over. I have swatches on the way.

My low stakes pet peeve is when someone hears about a heartwarming animal story and says "that should be a children's book!"
Making her real ๐ #fursuit #fursuitwip
The straps on my fursuit's sandals are purely decorative. The sole is held on with a shitload of Velcro.
I told myself I'd make velcro-on paw pads, but I'll be honest, I'm probably not going to. People love a cat that wears shoes.
Got another short little video. I made sandals for a local, Midori Hound. They liked the Tevas I made for my suit, but I had to make a couple changes to make the straps actually functional.
Hey furries, you been missing out on Velcro One-Wrap.
Project Hail Mary fandom has me in a chokehold
This is the sculpt I was noodling with a few weeks ago. I think I want to take a stab at a moving jaw with my current spandex workflow, even if I have to keep the lower jaw separated.
I want a dragon that's like, Dragon. Reads as A Dragon to non-furries, too.
I'm working on Jet head 2.0 and Risandria 1.0 (wife) but I want to make myself a new red dragon so fucking bad I'm going to scream
How to smooth out bumpy TPU head bases. The backs of the cheeks were a slight undercut when they were printing so they have some gloopy loopies. That's a technical term btw.
There's nothing magic about the mesh that I use here, but I don't know what to call it. I think it has something to do with carpet or flooring because the bolt was humongous. I got it from my old day job, but the old timers couldn't tell me what it was either.
Video I filmed for a question on Instagram. This is how I do magnets.
I got a really nasty hot glue burn on the pad of my left thumb so I'm going to put this down for today. How am I going to play my video games now?
Jet mask 2.0 update. Got her skin 95% glued on. There are some parts I like and some I don't, but overall I'm happy and ready to move on. #fursuit #fursuitwip
