Many years ago, my dad told us that one way to make friends in Italy was learn "me too" in italian. "How are you?" "Me too."
My big sister had a go and asked a waiter how he was. Instead of relplying "me too," she said "I'm garlic."
It went down even better than the original plan!

A year on Hough End Clough. Four seasons, twelve months. Sixteen small abstract paintings in a 4x4 grid. Along the top are Spring, summer, autumn and winter. Descending below each season are the three months of that season, starting with March at the top left and ending with February at the bottom right. Each oil painting represents all of the walks through the clough (a tiny strip of ancient forest with a stream running through it) during each period.

They look fine to me, but only you (and they) will know for sure!

They reminded me of this little collection..

Nothing a bit of stirring couldn't sort out. Concentrating fully on the risotto stirring resulted in a beatifully creamy risotto, so it's a net gain on the day.

After a stressful day, 20 minutes stirring a mushroom risotto was just what the doctor ordered today. I considered making mushroom fried rice, but that process was determined to be far too hectic!
