It's silly, but seeing an actual release date for Coyote vs. ACME actually brings a little slice of joy.
Not only because the premise sounds utterly amazing, but also because of it being released after so much BS and write off nonsense.

macOS 27: What if we just got rid of Apple Intelligence & Liquid (Gl)ass and cleaned the fuck out of the OS again to make macOS kick arse again.

"In the place of problem-solving technology, companies have jumped on successive bandwagons like NFTs, the metaverse, and large language models. What these all have in common is that they are not built to really solve a market problem. They are built to make VCs and companies rich"
Player 2's Early Access Report is back with a look at Morbid Metal, a new DmC/Rougelike melding that happens to be published by Ubisoft.
Is this an EA title to grab now, or does it need more time in the oven? @hewso.bsky.social jumped in to find out.

As you all know myself and 33 others were fired from Rockstar Games in what we believe was a ruthless and illegal act of Union Busting. We're fighting this tooth and nail. If you are able, please consider donating to our fighting fund so we can hold them to account!! 🌱✊

When I started this project, I thought there were nine Pitfall games. I was wrong.
A history of the surprising number of Pitfall games, the people who made them, and the company that kept deciding what the world really wanted was a new Pitfall game.

In 1986, a Canadian called Chris Gray made a stealth game locked behind a helicopter sim. U.S. Gold successfully sold it to the UK as "the game that rocked America". Gray was still a teenager, but already the co-creator of Boulder Dash. New post on Infiltrator:

New from me - Rockford's back for another dash through some tricky caves to grab those gems, but as nice as Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary is to play…
…I can't help but feel there should have been something a little more to mark the occasion.

Its not a hot take but man the way the word "content" is used these days. A vile bit of late stage capitalist propaganda, lumping all forms of human creativity and expression into a single wastebin teaching the public to treat all art as disposable.
I had a such a great time doing death quips for the awful nobles in my game, I have now decided to let those nobles quip BEFORE EVERY TURN. Annoying? Absolutely, and that's the point! #pico8

Also some scrappy programmer art attempts at a new player HUD, but one which needs a bunch of reworking to accommodate UI scaling nonsense (ugh!)
Not shared anything from the game for a while (the whole not having time to work it stunts that), but got some neat things in which add character - slipstreaming and spinning out.

URGH. What a fucking piece of shit. I’m sorry the vibe of the accomplishment was ruined, ‘cause heck yeah it’s hard work and you’ve every right to be proud. 🖤

Crystals of Zong puts a neat spin on the maze formula of early arcade games, which shows off how early home computer games could run with those ideas for better or worse!

If this wasn’t the worst timeline where people don’t wanna pay me to write code for ‘em, I totally would be flying up for it! 😭
I adored this game for many reasons, but most of all because this sort of high quality single player adventure still exists in 2026.

Getting ready to push the next Scanlines out & as always, a polite little nudge towards the mailing list in case you don't want to rely on social feeds!
(And yes, I really need to get back to finishing the darn site I've been working on for an eternity as well…)
The Way of the Exploding Fist was at the forefront of a home computer fighting game trend. Rather a sequel on the same lines, Gregg Barnett and Beam made something weirder and more atmospheric (and put the conventional one on the B-side). Mewgenics is undoubtedly a great game, but how does it sit with your values?
Jason asks this very question in his latest feature piece.

of course! Anyone who just surrenders to letting the bots do it all is a very bad out come indeed.
I guess that's what I love about coding - solving a cool logic puzzle and getting something to play with. The push towards bypassing the process cheapens everything!
