Speaker Johnson, we are calling on you to bring the House back to DC IMMEDIATELY!
The Cabinet needs to invoke the 25th Amendment. But Congress can’t just sit on its hands and wait for that to happen when the President is threatening to commit war crimes TONIGHT.
The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.
This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.
Trump is possibly about to use nuclear weapons in Iran. This is utterly insane. Every single leader in the liberal western world must condemn this lunacy. America, like Russia and Iran, is now a pariah state.
Trump is keeping the world on edge, it’s exhausting and dangerous. Not to mention raising all our costs.
3 more years of this can’t go on, he is clearly insane.
World leaders must do something, Republicans ands Democrats need to get rid of Trump and his VP!
100%. We must distance ourselves from this lunatic
Just keep thinking about ordinary people in Iran putting their kids to bed now and how that must feel… Whatever happens, this behaviour by Trump is so disgusting we cannot revert to business as usual. He is abhorrent and we should take a stand.
Regardless of political affiliation (I am not a lib dem) this is incontrovertibly correct and should happen immediately
Quote from Ed Davey which reads: “This is a grave and era-defining moment for the world. Donald Trump is making wilder and increasingly concerning threats by the hour. “If Trump follows through with this, Keir Starmer must immediately recall Parliament. The Prime Minister must also withdraw US access to UK bases now. “MPs must be given a chance to hold the Government to account and prevent the UK from being complicit in war crimes and breaches of international law.”
If Trump follows through with his wilder and increasingly concerning threats, Keir Starmer must immediately recall Parliament.
The Prime Minister must also withdraw US access to UK bases now.
This is a grave and era-defining moment for the world.
🌍 Protecting people should be the first duty of any Government. At present, the UK is deeply unprepared for the increasing threat of floods, droughts, wildfires and food shortages.
The cross-party CNCC will continue to urge the Government to deliver, before it's too late.

That UK government ever considers asserting its contractual rights against a major supplier is rare and welcome.
And here, this is especially welcome.
This will not be easy but it can be done, but it is good it is being seriously considered at all.

Think about that..
Avert your eyes.
The proposal to take a train service from Wrexham, through Shropshire and the Midlands to London is a good one.
Yet Oswestry - one of the largest towns in North Shropshire and the county - has no station and can't benefit from the many positives the service would bring.

Cap on overseas gifts risks Farage’s funding… Extracts: Political donations from Britons living abroad will be capped — a decision that could cut off Reform UK’s biggest donor. Steve Reed, the communities secretary, said it would not be “fair” to continue to allow Reform to accept “gamechanging” donations from people based overseas. Nigel Farage’s party accused Labour of “choking off legal funding for its main rival” after the decision, which limits donations from overseas Britons to £100,000 a year. Donations made with cryptocurrency will also be outlawed. Both rules will take effect immediately. Christopher Harborne, a Britishborn tycoon who lives in Thailand, donated £9 million to Reform in December, the largest donation to British politics from a living person. Harborne would be unlikely to qualify for such sizeable donations under the new rules, government sources said. The restrictions were announced after a review from Philip Rycroft, a former senior civil servant, into foreign interference in British democracy. Zia Yusuf, Reform’s home affairs spokesman, called Rycroft a “leftist political activist” and vowed to open an investigation into his background if the party wins power. “This is a dark day for Britain,” Yusuf said. “Reform receives a large, perfectly lawful donation from a British citizen and Labour responds by rushing through a new law to prohibit him from making such a donation again. This is how fast the machinery of government moves when it wants to protect itself … This Starmer regime is authoritarian.” Reed said that Rycroft was raising a “question of fairness”. He said: “Is it fair that a British national who chooses to live permanently abroad, who chooses to pay their taxes only abroad and not in the UK can make donations so big that they are game-changing for British democracy?”
“This is a dark day for Britain” howls Reform’s Zia Yusuf on the govt’s decision to immediately ban crypto and cap foreign donations to political parties. Almost as if he doesn’t give a shit about democracy or patriotism and cares much more about money, no matter how dirty and corrupt it is.

💧 A new water law is coming. Ministers know this law is a once-in-a-generation chance to clean up our rivers, lakes and seas but Government proposals don’t match the scale of the water crisis—yet.
We need a Water Reform Bill to:
👉 Stop the pollution
👉 Fix the water system
👉 And restore nature
