How to carry out the dumbest diplomatic feat in history. 1) Strait of Hormuz open. 2) attack Iran 3) threaten Iran as they retaliate by blocking Hormuz. 4) take overβ blocking of Hormuz. 5) both action and reaction block supply of oil, which lowers carbon emissions, something they donβt believe in.

Yes. The focus is on Drumpf, but it needs to include the #GOP, his #broligarch enablers, and political allies in distant lands. They all need to be equally held to account. The world cannot remain silent. #25thamendmentnow #ICC #UNsecuritycouncil
He must be removed from office asap, as a βmadmanβ, yes, but also as an evil greed-mongering dictator, who along with his family and political and billionaire cronies, make billions when he issues a βmadβ statement sending the stock market to nose dive.

This written record of threats to commit war crimes and genocide will be helpful in the future as evidence to prosecutors at The Hague.

High time for the 25th amendment.

The time has come to speak up, right now.
Neoliberal capitalism and the broligrach billionaire class are more interested in sustaining profits, cheap access to resources and continued extraction of dirty fossil fuels at any cost (including unlawful wars and genocide), than it is about human rights, dignity, international law or peace.
For all humanity.

Shameful. Please call them out. Name them. The world has the right to know.
Exciting to be part of the panel on "Feminist Perspectives on #BeyondGDP in Asia" organized by Oxfam in Asia, with Naila Kabeer, Myrah Butt, April Pham, Tripiti Rai, Mariam Moussa. The interest in this panel has been great. Here are key take-aways from the discussion (more to come!). #degrowth
𧡠While pastoralism is at the margins of #development policy, practice and knowledge, #gendered dimensions of pastoralism, including women's strategic, practical, #indigenous cultural and #wellbeing needs, continue to be at the margins of the margins. So much #research needs to be done in this area!
Delighted that my working paper with Manohara Khadka on "Gender and Pastoralism in the Rangelands of the Himalayas: Knowledge, Culture and Livelihoods at the Margins of the Margin" has 500 reads. The topic is especially important this year, the International Year of #Rangelands and #Pastoralism.
Happy to share my latest travel article "Bhutan, A Haven for Travel" in Tashi Delek Magazine in my regular column in the inflight magazine of Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines. This is another small piece as part of my book on Bhutan. More on this soon!

Hi Wikipedia, Having regular problems connecting to your site, no matter what device or search platform. When I try to go to Wikipedia (Safari or chrome) the message is: This site canβt be reached, or Safari can't find the server. The problem is intermittent, but frustrating. Wanted to let you know!
Itβs not about immigration.
One main argument for Canada not trading with China was (and continues) to be itβs gross human rights violations and genocide. The current US administration is not only committing human rights violations and genocide, but tearing up international norms and rule of law. Which devil to trade with?
As we bring in a new year filled with fast-paced news that is often disturbing and stressful, I am elated to share a slight deviation to ease the current trend: my article "Going Slow in Bhutan" in the latest issue of Tashi Delek Magazine, the inflight magazine of Drukair. Stay tuned for the book!
