My grief counselor asked what I’m looking for. I guess I’ve always wanted brothers, but that’s not it. I think I want to know if there is anything of myself in this new family. I’d like to know I’m not the only one of my kind, you know? Is that selfish? But they want me too... I guess we will see.

And I’m the outlier. I’ve never fit. Still, I have always been loved and cared for. The process of finding my genetic family was shockingly simple. I took several months to decide whether to contact, but ultimately I took the chance. I’m so glad I did. They have been so welcoming. (Cont)

I’m on a journey I haven’t talked much about. This weekend, I’m going to meet my brothers for the first time. We are all in our 50s. You see, my mom died 1/1/25 and I discovered accidentally that I had been conceived by AID. A lot of things really fell into place for me. I love my family. (Cont)
