And yet they never discuss the metaphysicality

Very interesting!
Did individual books come out of particular schools then (kind of like you might have a work of art from the studio of Rembrandt but not Rembrandt himself)?
Can anyone in #MTBoS or #iteachmath help me with an NBCT question? I'm doing my maintenance of certification. Some of my PGE's include coursework. Did you actually submit your transcript as evidence, or is that unnecessary?
Wow, I love love love this.
This is very cool, thank you!
Wow, do you mind sharing a little more? I feel like my teaching on that topic could use some improvement.

This dude is pretty weird.
One reason why worked examples are so important in math instruction 👇
"If you don't know how to explain a math concept using barely any words, then you probably also don't know which words to use to explain it verbally."
#MTBoS, is this true?
I have been leaning toward believing this is (mostly) true.
This is the most niche tweet ever. Props.
This video was a complete joy to make. Here's a short preview, but next time you're looking to sit down for 45 minutes of math and art, take a look at the full version on YouTube: youtu.be/ldxFjLJ3rVY
A slide saying "Fill the blanks with integers." Then underneath the following questions: 50 = 7² + ___ 50 = ___² + 41 50 = 6² + ___ 50 = ___² + 49 50 = ___² + 25 50 = 8² − ___ 50 = ___² − 50 50 = ___² + 34 50 = 2² + ___ 50 = ___² − 31
Wherever possible, I like to check for prerequisite knowledge in a meaningful way.
Here's a simple one for completing the square.
If this happens and is still going on during the World Cup, it will be absolute chaos.
I believe it was Socrates who said "The unwealthmaxxed life is not worth living"
where’s my money 😔
if people are using classified information to place bets, then theoretically others can analyze betting behavior to find signals that reveal classified information.
A slide showing different examples of making questions more engaging by re-wording the instructions for the task. For example, instead of "calculate the following", ask "which of these have the same answer?"
A slight change of wording is a quick win to ask more engaging questions.
Here are a few simple examples.
For history nerds, this is quite interesting.

The two most successful Dem politicians of my lifetime, Bill Clinton and Obama, were both masculine, to be sure. But they had sort of a cool guy masculinity rather than a tough guy masculinity, if that makes any sense? Idk.

I think the "should" there is doing a lot of work. But I think it's my ideal, anyways.
Been thinking about this. I suppose what you say here is generally true. My difficulty with it is that it has generally not been true in my experience. I think classrooms are more like a fractal, and even when you siphon off, say, the top 25%, the same dynamics re-form themselves (or should).
Nice -- appreciate the info!
Nice to see the hospital demolition is underway. I hadn't seen any pictures of that before.
You don't think there's an analog on the other end? Take a group of struggling students who can't yet access the grade-level content at the pace at which it's being presented, but instead present them with a selected 70% of it, and there's a chance they'll learn it instead of learning very little?
absolutely hilarious
