Just putting it out there that I'm still dreaming of representing an astronaut, but just want great non-fiction about space in general, written by experts.
Let's KEEP the kids excited about space now that Artemis II is home and get them hyped for what's next!

Was driving my kiddos home and listening to the livestream of the splashdown. Immediately started crying when Reid talked after the six minute blackout. Had to explain that I was just excited and happy to hear them again.
Now let's get them out of that capsule!

Love this shot. I think this is a thermal infrared camera, showing how the bottom of the capsule is still glowing due to its warmth after hypersonically ramming the atmosphere — compressing a gas heats it up a LOT when you're moving at superorbital speeds.

He still needs to be removed from office. A war powers resolution will not suffice. He circumvented Congress to start the war. He circumvented them on tariffs and appropriations. Why anyone thinks he'd adhere to a Congressional war powers resolution is beyond me.
A war powers resolution will not be enough. Yes. We need to assert congressional authority and stop this illegal war in Iran. But, Trump is clearly an unstable warmonger at odds with the will of the people. Removal is the top priority. No more war criminal in the White House.
The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.
This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.
This campaign would be a grave sin even if he didn’t know the stakes; that he does — that he’s gleefully destroying a civilization with many millennia of history, & millions of innocent people who are suffering — is Hitler-level. Shame on him, his Administration, & all Americans for enabling it.
I imagine that Nutella jar just going “Wheeee” as it flies through space.

With the awful things happening on Earth, including the increasing fear and uncertainty of war, it's so uplifting to watch science and history happen and celebrate the good humanity can accomplish — on a vessel named Integrity, no less.
