Saddened to learn of the passing of the great #GaryKelley —a huge inspiration for me. We own two of his pieces—this is one, called “The Three Mikes”. His shapes, textures, compositions, and mood are always lingering in the back of my artist brain. Warm thoughts to his family, friends, and fans. #

Cheese should be a vegetable. I should be able to grow cheeses in my garden.

Short trees with hanging camemberts and scamorzas, growing big wheels of parmiggiano and gruyere like pumpkins, mozzarellas like brussel sprouts, little bushes of babybells.

That's normal, faces are hard and there's lots of small shapes to include inside them and we notice very evidently when something is the least bit off, so other parts and big shapes are easier to abstract!

For what is worth, I really like it and I think the face is great! Doesn't look overworked from the outside.
