Well, that didn’t last. Just saw an ad for something called the “Dodge Charger Scat Pack”. Who approved that?

I’m one of two people waiting for a movie to start (at Regal) and instead of all the ads they just keep playing spots for Regal that say “the best way to enjoy a movie is AT the movies “ and you know, it’s much nicer than the usual dumb stuff.
lol someone who wants me to personally yank the monitors off the wall and those them out the window so her kid doesn’t have to see them.
I always hope for a conversation or discussion but instead I get shouts or told I’m devoid of compassion.
I feel this way when people come at me complaining about how bad screens are. I don’t disagree, but I want some specifics. Phone screens, tablets, the Nintendo switch screen? Ok, why that screen. Enlighten me.
It’s wild to me when people say things like “AI is bad!” but when I ask them to be a bit more specific and they just stare at me.
I think AI is bad for ethical and environmental reasons, and I’m down for conversations about it but patrons, you gotta bring me more than just ITS BAD

In the country from which we demanded liberty, declaring a republic by the people and beholden to no rule by divine right, they can arrest a prince. In this so-called republic, now 250 years old and imploding, the president has been declared immune from prosecution.
The American Revolution failed.
I’m trying to find a stream to watch it on- I apparently don’t pay Peacock enough for access, and I’m not interested in paying them more

Not the typical content about board games, but some much needed sharing of anger. Thanks for sharing @boardgameco.bsky.social
Same! Our local indie just posted Thursday is the last day to see Bone Temple, but Send Help is opening so… hoping to get to both!
Analyzing and evaluating them I am all for! But reading about the general use and importance of them drained my brain!

Happy to see Sinners get all those noms but otherwise, I’m feeling very ambivalent about the Oscars.

Saw No Other Choice yesterday and dang, I don’t think Park Chan-wook has made a film I haven’t really enjoyed. Clever, funny, dark and full of great performances- especially Lee Byung-hun. #filmsky
We review Mother of Flies, the latest from DIY filmmakers the Adams Family (The Deeper You Dig, Hellbender) and note that it's their most personal film to date. The movie comes to @shudder.com this Friday.
