I feel the same way. It was a hard choice to go indie, but all I see are more reasons why it was the right choice. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

So, uh, thatโ€™s a gross ass thing for Hachette to do. Two things can absolutely be true at once and itโ€™s this - any use of AI in books should not be accepted.

Not from authors. Not from publishing houses.

Be honest, how many of you fantasy authors have tested out your story ideas on your D&D group before adding it to your book? Because I keep thinking about it...

One of my writing "life hacks" is to hand the manuscript to my beta readers and ask "Is this garbage?" If they say "no", then it's only upwards and onwards from there! Plus it sets the bar super low so they feel more comfortable giving honest feedback.

I wrote a novel that shows how America's social inequalities hurt us all and how embracingย white, male privilege means walking a fine line to self-destruction.ย It's not a banned book...yet, but my dream is it will be someday!

The cover of "Utopia Paradox" by L.C. Fathom. The bottom says equality does not equal equity. A dark rainbow is the backdrop for the cover logo which shows a figure mirrored on two sides of a circle that are red and blue, inverted in colors. One figure is a black silhouette backlit by red with red chains around his wrists. The other figure is a white silhouette on a blue background with a red over his eyes and around his head like a blindfold. They are looking back at each other, as if contemplating each other or regretting their positions.

I will warn you, it is quite... odd... but interesting and original. lol

Me too! I like how the tropes are being openly used and/or flipped in a way that's fun. I'm about 3 hours in (audiobook) so we'll see how the shenanigans go. ๐Ÿ˜†

AI is the new covid/pandemic, killing us and our resources.
You have to sanitize it from everything you own.
You have to wear a "mask" to prevent its spread.
You have to warn others about it.
And lots of people do none of these things to the detriment of others. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

John was raised to be an all-American man, but feels he's fallen short, especially as he's currently sitting in jail for committing a hate crime. Now heโ€™s questioning everything he once believed, especially what it means to be a man.

I sincerely believe that all of disney's money be given to Glitch studios instead. No more "art" money for them to waste when others are actually trying (and succeeding).
