Call me old-fashioned, but when I can't decide what I want to order I just ask the barista what their favorite drink is and try that one out.
You can just *talk* to people. People who work at the store are humans just like you. We shouldn't be using chatbots to empower extreme social anxiety.
A large angular boulder sits perched on a small pedestal of glacier ice on the surface of the Black Rapids Glacier, Eastern Alaska Range, Alaska. The surrounding glacier surface is covered in rocky debris and sediment. A second smaller boulder on a similar ice pedestal is visible to the right. Snow-patched mountain ridges and partially cloud-shrouded peaks of the Alaska Range rise dramatically in the background, with a small hanging glacier visible on the mountainside at center. Overcast summer sky.
A glacier table on the Black Rapids Glacier, Alaska Range. The boulder insulates the ice beneath, while the surrounding surface melts down, leaving it perched on a pedestal. Eventually, the pedestal becomes unstable, and the rock topples, and the process starts again.

I'm sure there will be no long-term consequences to all of us veering between hypervigilance over potential nuclear war and trying to go to work because none of us can afford to pay our bills and may still be trying to recover from health consequences from the pandemic we're pretending didn't happen
Viral photo from some years back of a man nonchalantly mowing his yard with a tornado on the horizon .
How it feels doing literally any task right now.

And here I am, I expect to quit by April. If anyone is looking for therapy, that’s my evening (soon full-time) work that I love.
Anyway, after 30 minutes of realizing how undervalued I am and how their perception of all the extra activities they have made me go to didn’t match my perception, they “let me” miss work (after I implied they could fire me if they wanted but I was missing that one day of work)
